If you are overweight, then this is the right time to lose weight. You can lose weight by reducing your calorie intake and staying active throughout the day. Make sure to consume a fat-free diet and exercise every day. If you cannot decide, which is the right diet for you, then consult a physician and have a word about anti-snoring devices to help you.

Use nasal strips

You can use nasal strips to increase the space. This will eliminate the chances of your nostrils coming together and blocking air passage. You can also use a nasal dilator; this is an adhesive strip, which makes breathing easier.

Treat chronic allergies

Allergies are also responsible to decrease the airflow in your nose. This forces an individual to breathe through the mouth. You can consult your physician to treat your allergy to improve your condition.

Use peppermint mouthwash

Peppermint mouthwash will help you if you are snoring due to an allergy. To make a peppermint mouthwash, add one drop of peppermint oil in a glass of water and gargle with this. You do not need to drink this.

When to see the doctor

You need to contact your doctor if breathing becomes a problem for you while sleeping. Let your doctor know that you are gasping for breath during sleep. When you suffer from sleep apnea, it also decreases the level of oxygen in your body. Lack of oxygen may bring in other problems like, BP and cardiovascular problems. Consult your physician about anti-snoring devices, he will suggest you an appropriate device as per your individual requirements.
